1 pound of bananas= $0.54
2.6 pounds of bananas= 2.6×0.54
=$1.404
1 pound of grapes= $1.28
3.1 pounds of grapes= 3.1×1.28
=$3.968
total cost= 3.968+1.404
=$5.372

round of to 2 decimal points as money can only have a maximum of 2 decimal places. thus, it will be $5.37.

<h3>Answer: B) 31.348</h3>

======================================

Work Shown:

We will never use the alpha = 0.05 value when computing the test statistic. So we can ignore alpha for this particular problem.

-------

n = 40 is the sample size.

s = 2.6 is the sample standard deviation

\sigma = sigma = 2.9 is the population standard deviation (ie the claimed standard deviation for all the pay phones)

Test Statistic for chi-square

\chi^2 = \frac{(n-1)*s^2}{\sigma^2}\\\\\chi^2 = \frac{(40-1)*(2.6)^2}{(2.9)^2}\\\\\chi^2 = \frac{39*6.76}{8.41}\\\\\chi^2 = \frac{263.64}{8.41}\\\\\chi^2 \approx 31.3483947681332\\\\\chi^2 \approx 31.348\\\\

Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

Midpoint is ( Average of x’s, Average of y’s )

1 = (x + 7)/2

2 = x + 7, x = - 5

and - 1 = (y + (-4))/2

so - 2 = y - 4 and y = 2

Pt B = (- 5, 2)
