Question 1:
It's mostly a preference problem. You can do any of those options and still be correct. The easiest is to solve for y in the second equation. All you have to do is subtract 2x.

Question 2:
x is already solved for. graphing doesn't matter in the substitution method. Since x is already solved for, then it would be easy to substitute 2-y for x in the second equation.

Question 3:
If you are given x, then just substitute the value for x in the y = equation.
x = 10
y = 3x - 5

y = 3(10) - 5
y = 30 - 5
y = 25

(-2/3)*(-2 1/4)*(3/4)   Convert the mixed fraction to improper fraction.
(-2/3)*(-9/4)*(3/4)   Then you multiply the numerators with numerators and                                             denominators with denominators

(-2*-9*3)           negative times negative is positive, so the negative sign is gone
-------------
(3*4*4*)              The lines (-----) is the line of the fraction

54/48            This is the product of this multiplication, now you need to simplify
                        by reducing the numbers of the fraction

9/8         And that would be the answer

Graph f(x)=2x+1 and g(x)=−x+7 on the same coordinate plane.
Tamiku [17]

Answer:

x = 2

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve the equation, you need to set both functions equal to each other and simplify to find the value of "x".

f(x) = 2x + 1

g(x) = -x + 7

f(x) = g(x)                                              <----- Given equation

2x + 1 = -x + 7                                      <----- Insert functions

3x + 1 = 7                                             <----- Add "x" to both sides

3x = 6                                                  <----- Subtract 1 from both sides

x = 2                                                    <----- Divide both sides by 3
