Is that supposed to be

$f(x) = x \cdot |-1|^x$

?

Let's assume so.  This is really bad computer aided instruction if they can't typeset simple formulas in a way that doesn't look like it was written by a drunk. Tell your school to get a better system than this; you deserve better.

$f(2) = 2 \cdot |-1|^2 = 2 \cdot 1^2 = 2\cdot 1 = 2$

Answer: 2, last choice
