Mathmate has given you a correct answer -- in fact better than your choices. If you can reduce a fraction, you really should. 11 42/99 is correct and you should pick C. But the better answer would have been 11 14/33 because in the fractional form this is the reduced amount. As a mixed fraction that's as low as it will go.

Perhaps 11 42/99 is good teaching but 11 14/33 is good math.

x=11.4242....

100x=1142.4242....

100x-x = 99x = 1131

x=1131/99 = 11 42/99 (unreduced) = 11 14/33 (reduced fraction)

The circumference of a circle is 22 cm.
valkas [14]

\bf \: Circumference \:  of  \: a \:  circle = 2\pi \: r

\implies22 = 2 \times  \dfrac{22}{7}  r

\implies22 =  \dfrac{44}{7}  \times r

\implies \: r =  \dfrac{22 \times 7}{44}

\implies \boxed{ r =  \dfrac{7}{2} }

Now,

\bf \: Area \:  of  \: circle = \pi {r}^{2}

\rightarrow \:  \frac{22}{7}   \times  ({ \frac{7}{2}) }^{2}

\rightarrow \frac{22}{ \cancel7}  \times  \frac{ \cancel{49}}{4}

\rightarrow \: 22 \times  \frac{7}{4}

\rightarrow \: 11 \times  \frac{7}{2}

\rightarrow \frac{77}{2}

\rightarrow \: 38.5 \: cm {}^{2}

Area of rectangle = 38.5 cm².

Amy had $28 dollar’s to spend on school supplies. After buying 7 pens, she had $20.30 left. How much did each pen cost including
Airida [17]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

If Amy started with 28 dollars and bought 7 pens, then had 20.30 dollars, we can subtract to find the price of all 7 pens.

28-20.30=7.70 dollars

now to find the amount for EACH pen, we divide by 7

7.70/7=1.1

each pen costed Amy 1 dollar and 10 cents with tax
