A) total manufacturing cost
10,500×(113÷100)=11,865

B) total manufacturing cost
27,235+10,500+11,865=49,600
the unit product cost for job 313
49,600÷1,600=31

Hope it helps!

A company uses a process cost accounting system. Its Assembly Department's beginning inventory consisted of 50,000 units, 3/4 co
const2013 [10]

Answer:

Direct Labour Cost per Equivalent Unit = $0.17

Explanation:

Cost per Equivalent Unit = Total Cost / Total Equivalent Units

Total Direct Labor Cost = $24,000

Total Equivalent Units = 127,500 + 40,000 x 25% = 137,000

Cost per Equivalent Unit = $24,000 / 137,500 = $0.17

Remember:

In the weighted average method, the units in beginning inventory are treated as if they had no work done in them at all. They are included with all the other units completed in the period.

Anne Beck recently took over a beauty supply store. Her predecessor always ordered shampoo in quantities of 100 units. Anne is r
inysia [295]

Answer:

Anne should increase the order quantity to 162 units, that way the company will save $154 per year.

Explanation:

economic order quantity (EOQ) = √(2SD / H)

  • order cost = $35
  • holding cost per unit = $8
  • annual demand = 3,000 units

EOQ = √[(2 x $35 x 3,000) / $8] = 162 units

total order cost per year = order costs x number of orders = $35 x (3,000 / 100) = $35 x 30 = 1,050

holding costs per year = average inventory x holding cost = 50 x $8 = $400

if EOQ is used:

order cost per year = (3,000 / 162) x $35 = $648

holding cost per year = 81 x $8 = $648

total savings = ($1,050 + $400) - ($648 + $648) = $154
