considering the environmental factor of vegetation , why do you think civilization on the african continent began in egypt , rather than farther west , in central north africa ?

Civilization always is located at a big riv er delta. On the African continent it began in Egypt where the Nile formed a big delta. All around it in Africa was the rainless & huge Sahara desert, the most unlikely place for human habitation, let alone a civilization.
