You multiply 8 by 1 because if you round up it will be an estimate
8 x 1 = 8
So Kim is wrong

Answer with Step-by-step explanation:

Kim multiplied 8×0.952 and got 76.16.

As we can see 0.952 is a number near to 1

i.e. 0.952 ≈ 1

So, 8×0.952 ≈ 8×1

i.e. 8×0.952 ≈ 8

There is a huge difference between 8 and 76.16

Hence, Kim's answer is incorrect

What is f(5) if f(1) = 3.2 and f(x + 1) = (f(x))?
scoray [572]

Answer:

The value of f(5) is 3.2.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that f(1) = 3.2 and

f(x+1)=f(x)

Substitute x=1 in the above equation.

f(1+1)=f(1)

f(2)=3.2

Substitute x=2 in the given equation.

f(2+1)=f(2)

f(3)=3.2

Substitute x=3 in the given equation.

f(3+1)=f(3)

f(4)=3.2

Substitute x=4 in the given equation.

f(4+1)=f(4)

f(5)=3.2

Therefore the value of f(5) is 3.2.

Jennifer is calculating her gpa. if she uses "=(a1+a2+a3+a4)/4", this is an example of which type of entry?
ArbitrLikvidat [17]
The first thing we should know in this case is the meaning of the following acronyms:
 (GPA) = Grade Point Average.
Effectively in a program like excel she can use:
 GPA = (a1 + a2 + a3 + a4) / 4
 Where,
ai = represents each of the notes (i: 1,2,3,4)
However, this is also an example of the following type of entry:
 GPA = AVERAGE (a1: a4)
 Answer:
 Entry:
Formulas: are references of cells, names of cells or ranges, functions or operators that result in a value from other existing values.

When the outliers are removed, how does the mean change? dot plot with 1 on 50, 1 on 76, 1 on 78, 2 on 79, 1 on 80, 1 on 81, 2 o
sveticcg [70]
We can plot this data on MS Excel and determine the distribution of these data reflected on the graph. Among these numbers, 50 is the outlier since it is very far from the other numbers ranging from 76 to 83. We can perform interquartile range to determine or verify the outliers in the data set. In this respect, we can see that there is not much distribution seen. The average of all data sets is equal to 96.25. When the outlier (50) is removed, we expect the mean to become higher since a low number was ommitted including high numbers only. Outliers are obtained from special causations such as human errors.
