<span>A mass balance will be necessary to weigh the sodium bicarbonate and a 100ml beaker should be used to contain the solution. For safety, one should wear gloves while handling the sodium bicarbonate and wear goggles in case of splashing. Lab coats and closed shoes must also be worn.

- Analytical balance with 0.1 g precision (at least)
- Spatule
- Burette (0.1 mL precision) plus erlenmeyer or a graduated volumetric flask.
- Magnetic agitator


Safety precautions:
- Use gloves of the proper material
- Use safety googles
- Wear lab coat that fits you
