We are planning a reception for our daughter. The hall that we are renting charges $55 clean up fee. In addition to the cleanup

fee, they charge $37 per guest for food and drinks.
If we have $3,350.00 available, what is the maximum number of guest we can invite without going over our budget?

Answer:

89 is  the maximum number of guests that can be invited within budget  .

Step-by-step explanation:

The cleaning charges = $55

Total budget available = $3350

Cost per guest = $37

Now, actual budget available for guest = Total budget -  Cleaning Fee

= $3350  - $ 55   = $3,295

Now, cost per head =$ 37

So, number of guests (n) possible in the budget

⇒ n = (Total guest Budget)/ Cost per head

= $3,295 / $37  = $89.05

or,  n = $89.05

So, 89 is  the maximum number of guests that can be invited within budget  .

Solve for x. 3/4 = x/12 <br> I need work shown to
marta [7]

\frac{3}{4} = \frac{x}{12}

To solve for x you have to bring the 12 to the other side

How  do we do this?

Well if you think about it this is technically what the equation shows

\frac{3}{4} = x * \frac{1}{12}

This means to isolate x you can multiply both sides by 12 and that will cancel \frac{1}{12} from the right side

\frac{3}{4} * 12 = x * \frac{1}{12} * 12

\frac{36}{4} = x * 1\\\frac{36}{4}  = x

\frac{36}{4} can be further simplified to...

9

^^^This is the answer

Check:

3/4 = 9/12

3/4 = 3/4

Hope this helped!
