The total with the basketball and herself is 66 and 7 ounces or 66 7/16. Then subtract 68 and 4 ounces minus 66 and 7 ounces to get 95/8 which reduces to 1 and 1/8 pounds

Feliz [49]

Answer:

x = 2.

y =  6.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the triangle on the left.

Because there are 2 equal angles at the vertex on the bottom right:

3/9 = x/(8 - x)

1/3 = x / (8 - x)

3x = 8 - x

4x = 8

x = 2  (answer).

Similarly, for the second triangle:

3/y = 2/4

3/y = 1/2

y = 6

(answer).

The company discovered that it costs $45 to produce 2 widgets, $143 to produce 4 widgets, and $869 to produce 10 widgets.
Fed [463]
C(x)= 9(9)^2-5(9)+19

= 9(81)-45+19

= 729-45+19

= 684+19
= $703 to produce 9 widgets
