Answer:

The explorer that extended France's influence in the Americas through his establishment of Quebec was Samuel de Champlain.

Explanation:

Samuel de Champlain was a French navigator, cartographer, draftsman, soldier, explorer, geographer, ethnographer, diplomat and chronicler who founded Quebec City on July 3, 1608 and is considered the "father of New France."

In the period between 1604 and 1607, Champlain participated in the exploration and colonization of Acadia (now Nova Scotia) and then, in 1608, established the French colony that is now Quebec City. Champlain was the first European to explore and describe the Great Lakes region and published maps of his travels and the things he learned from the natives and from the French who lived among the natives. He established relations with the locals and agreed to assist them in their wars against the Iroquois.

rosijanka [135]

Answer:

The Cold War was the tense relationship between the United States (and its allies), and the Soviet Union (the USSR and its allies) between the end of World War II and the fall of the Soviet Union. It is called the "Cold" War because the US and the USSR never actually fought each other directly.
