So increased weight = 92-80 = 12

so ℅ = 12×100/80 = 15

so his weight is increased by 15℅ !!

If the length of a rectangle is increased by 120%, and its width is decreased by 20%, what is the percentage change in the area
velikii [3]

Answer:

The area of the rectangle is increased in 76 percent.

Step-by-step explanation:

The area of a rectangle (A) is represented by the following formula:

A = w\cdot l

Where:

w - Width.

l - Length.

If length is increased by 120 %and width is decreased by 20 %, the percentage change in the area of the rectangle is: (l = 2.2\cdot l_{o}, w = 0.8\cdot w_{o})

A = (2.2\cdot l_{o})\cdot (0.8\cdot w_{o})

A = (2.2)\cdot (0.8)\cdot w_{o}\cdot l_{o}

A = 1.76\cdot A_{o}

The area of the rectangle is increased in 76 percent.

What is the perimeter of the rectangle shown on the coordinate plane, to the nearest tenth of a unit?
const2013 [10]

Answer:

Perimeter of rectangle = 6√26 or 30.59 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the rectangle ABCD

so, co-ordinate of A= (-6,4) = (x1,y1)

co-ordinate of B= (4,2) = (x2,y2)

co-ordinate of C= (3,-3) = (x3,y3)

co-ordinate of D= (-7,-1) = (x4,y4)

In rectangle ABCD

AB = CD ( opposite sides of rectangle are equal)

and, AD = BC ( opposite sides of rectangle are equal)

Now, using distance formula

AB = √(x2-x1)² + (y2-y1)²

     =√(4-(-6))²+ (2-4)²

     =√(4+6)² + (-2)²

     =√(10)² + (4)

      =√100+4

      =√104

      =2√26 units

so,AB = CD = 2√26 units

again,by using distance formula

     BC = √(x3-x2)² + (y3-y2)²

           =√(3-4)² + ( -3-2)²

           =√(-1)² + (-5)²

           =√1 + 25

           =√26 units

so, AD = BC =√26 units

Now,

  Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length of rectangle+breadth of rectangle)

    =2(2√26 + √26)           (AB =CD = 2√26 units & AD = BC = √26 units)

    =2.3√26

     =6√26 units

Answer is 6√26 or 30.59 units

cestrela7 [59]
1/4book=4/5hr
times both sides by 5
5/4book=4hr
divide both sides by 4 aka times both sides by 1/4

Vlada [557]

To compute the GCF of two number, you need their prime factorization.

Then, you "build" the GCF by only considering the primes appearing in both factorization, with the smaller exponent possible.

So, to compute the GCF between 6 and 9, you first consider their factorization:

6 = 2 \times 3

9 = 3^2 = 3 \times 3

So, the only prime appearing in both factorization is 3.

It appears with exponent 1 in the factorization of 6, and with exponent 2 in the factorization of 9. We must choose the smallest, so we choose 1.

So, 3 with exponent 1 is simply 3, and here's your GCF
