In addition, justinian was required to reconstruct constantinople when the city zones were abandoned when fighting in the hippodrome fell into the streets and intensified into a insurgence.

He also built the Hagia Sophia, the largest building ever made until that date, and it has been said that it "changed the history of architecture".

Justinian was responsible for ensuring a constant water supply for Constantinople, through the construction of several underground cisterns. He built the great Sangarius Bridge, restored several cities damaged during the war and even built a new city called Justiniana Prima.
