14 people chose the tiger and this equals 100-72 = 28%

So the percentage who shose the eag;e and the polar bear = 17/14 * 28 = 34%

So 100 - 28 - 34 = 38% chose the Viking This equals 38 * 0.5 =19 students.<---- Answer

Total number of students = 100 * 0.5 = 50. answer

Answer:

19 students chose viking.

Step-by-step explanation:

Jesse spilled water on the paper but he knows that 72% of the students chose a mascot other than a tiger.

11 people chose the eagle six people chose the polar bear 14 people chose the tiger.

Let the total students be = x

And 14 people chose tiger this means only 28% students chose tiger.

0.28x=14

x=50

Hence, total students are 50.

Now, out of 50, 14 chose tiger, 11 chose eagle, 6 chose polar bear. Total are : 14+11+6=31

Hence, 50-31=19 students chose Viking.

What is ∑n=16[4(−5)n−1] equal to?

Enter your answer in the box.
Cerrena [4.2K]

Step-by-step explanation:

Geometric Sequence formula for general term:

an = a1(r^n-1)

a1 = 4 × (-5)^1-1

a1 = 4

r = -5

Summation formula for geometric sequence :

Sn = a1 ( 1 - r^n / 1 - r )

...take n from the top of the summation.

= 4 ( 1 -(-5)^6 / 1 -(-5)

= -10416.

asambeis [7]

It is accurate. In the phrase “two more hours than Nandini,” n + 2 are correct translations. Then the correct option is A.

What is Algebra?

Algebra is used to analyze mathematical symbols, and logic is used to manipulate those symbols.

As an example, Kelley models the sentence "Xander studied two more hours than Nandini" using the equation n + 2.

Consequently, the following will describe Kelley's expression's accuracy the best:

It is precise. Since "two" is translated as "2," "more" as "+," and "Nandini's study time is unknown or "n," 2 + n or n + 2 are the appropriate translations for the sentence "two more hours than Nandini."

So, option A is the best choice.

I understand that the question you are looking for is :

Kelley writes the expression n + 2 to model the phrase “Xander studied two more hours than Nandini.” Which best explains the accuracy of Kelley’s expression?

It is accurate. In the phrase “two more hours than Nandini,” “two” is “2,” “more” is “+,” and Nandini’s study time is unknown or “n,” so 2 + n or n + 2 are correct translations.

It is inaccurate. In the phrase “two more hours than Nandini,” “two” is “2,” “more” is “+,” and Nandini’s study time is unknown or “n,” so 2 + n is the correct translation.

It is inaccurate. In the phrase “two more hours than Nandini,” “two” is “2,” “more than” is “>,” and Nandini’s study time is unknown or “n,” so 2 greater-than n is the correct translation.

It is inaccurate. In the phrase “two more hours than Nandini,” “two” is “2,” “more than” is “<,” and Nandini’s study time is unknown or “n,” so 2 less-than n is the correct translation.

Directions: Follow the instructions for the following inequalities. 1. 4<7 Multiply both sides by 7 , then by 6, then by 3, t
worty [1.4K]

In the given question, we have to perform this experiment and test if the inequality is true or not.

Adding the same value to both sides of the inequality will not change the inequality sign

Inequality

data;

 • 4 < 7
 • 11 > - 2
 • -4 < - 2
 • -8 < 8

In the first case, we would do follow the process

6 * 7 * 4 < 7 * 7 * 6\\168 < 294

In the second case;

11 > - 2\\\\5 + 11 > -2 + 5\\3 + 16 > 3 + 3\\4+ 19 > 6 + 4\\23 > 10

In all the scenarios, the operations did not affect the inequality sign because we are doing it equally to all side and at the end of the day nullifies each other.
