Answer:

Option-D

Explanation:

A plant leaf is a photosynthetic organ of the plant which contains the chlorophyll pigment. The plants have the ability to form new leaves or young leaves when the older leaves shed away.

The younger and older plant leaves can be distinguished on the basis of their color.

The younger leaves as they grow to appear darker due to the presence of higher number of chlorophyll pigments which imparts green color. But as the leaves got older, the color of the leaves changes to yellow as they necrosis leads to the death of the leaves and the anthocyanin pigment imparts yellow color.

Thus, Option-D is the correct answer.

He chart shows rate of decay.
mina [271]

The value which is being measured in the columns labeled "Fraction remaining" and "Percentage remaining" is: D. amount of material that has not decayed.

What is a radioactive decay?

A radioactive decay can be defined as a radioactive process in which an unstable atomic nucleus undergoes a spontaneous transformation into one or more different atomic nuclei and simultaneously emits radiation, accompanied with a loss of energy.

The types of radioactive decay.

In Science, there are three main types of radioactive decay and these include the following:

 • Alpha decay
 • Beta decay
 • Gamma decay

Based on the information provided in the table (see attachment), we can reasonably infer and logically deduce that the value which is being measured in the columns labeled "Fraction remaining" and "Percentage remaining" is the amount of material that has not decayed.

What is plant "blinking"? Why do plants do this?
Likurg_2 [28]

BLINK protein speeds up stomatal movements in response to light fluctuations resulting in improved plant growth and water use.

Plants can't move, so their “blinking” helps protect them from burning or bleaching when they are in bright sun.

I'm not sure if the first part is right, but I do know the second part is.

Answer:

Either (1.) Fossils or (2) Radiometric dating.

Explanation:

Fossils are an obvious answer to this, but radiometric dating is the method most scientists use to find the age of rocks. Radioactive isotopes break down predictably, so the farther along this process is, the older the rock is.
