Okay so I don't know what you're trying to find out here, but if you're trying to find out how many words he has left after writing those two months, all you have to do is add. 35, 295 + 19, 240 and should get 54, 535. Then you subtract 95,234 - 54,535 and get 40,699.. So Zachary has 40,699 words left to write

Put brackets in the calculation below to make it correct.<br><br> 15 - 4 x 2 + 1 = 3
bagirrra123 [75]
If you put brackets around (2+1), your method of working is:
1) 15-4*(2+1)=3
2) 15-4*3=3
3) 15-12=3
You don't need any more brackets, as the BIDMAS (brackets, Indices, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction) rule does the rest of the job for you.
The answer is therefore: 15-4*(2+1)=3

Three people who work full-time are to work together on a project, but their total time on the project is to be equivalent to th
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

  1/6

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the proportion of time the third person spends on the project. You want ...

  1/2 + 1/3 + x = 1 . . . . full-time equivalents

  5/6 + x = 1 . . . . simplify

  x = 1/6 . . . . . . . subtract 5/6

The third person should budget 1/6 of their time to the project.

If a manufacturer conducted a survey among randomly selected target market households and wanted to be 95% confident that the d
katen-ka-za [31]

Answer:

We need a sample size of least 119

Step-by-step explanation:

In a sample with a number n of people surveyed with a probability of a success of \pi, and a confidence level of 1-\alpha, we have the following confidence interval of proportions.

\pi \pm z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}

In which

z is the zscore that has a pvalue of 1 - \frac{\alpha}{2}.

The margin of error is:

M = z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}

95% confidence level

So \alpha = 0.05, z is the value of Z that has a pvalue of 1 - \frac{0.05}{2} = 0.975, so Z = 1.96.

Sample size needed

At least n, in which n is found when M = 0.09

We don't know the proportion, so we use \pi = 0.5, which is when we would need the largest sample size.

M = z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}

0.09 = 1.96\sqrt{\frac{0.5*0.5}{n}}

0.09\sqrt{n} = 1.96*0.5

\sqrt{n} = \frac{1.96*0.5}{0.09}

(\sqrt{n})^{2} = (\frac{1.96*0.5}{0.09})^{2}

n = 118.6

Rounding up

We need a sample size of least 119
