First one I just answerd, the answer is x=8.2 or 8 and 1/5

2nd one
divide both sides by 2 and distribute
21x+35-4x+24=131
17x+59=131
minus 131 both sdes
17x=72
divide both sides by 17
x=72/17

3.
add 14.8 to both sides
0.025x=22.25
divide both sides by 0.025
x=890

4.
divide oth sides by 2.5
2(3x-2)=2x+6
expand
6x-4=2x+6
minus 2x both sides
4x-4=6
add 4 both sides
4x=10
divide by 4
x=10/4=5/2

A student claims that 8^3 • 8^-5 is greater than 1. Explain wheather the student is correct or not.
xxTIMURxx [149]

The student is right. Because when multiplying both numbers, we have to multipy the exponents together. And in this case we are going to get 8^-15. And when it is simplified, it is actually bigger than 1.
