Answer: $14.55

Step-by-step explanation: What you do is

$0.75*4= $3

then $5.99*3=$17.97

12*$1.89=$22.68

Now you add it all and get $43.65.

Since its asking per painting you're going to find the unit rate by dividing. 43.65/3

So your answers would be 14.55.

Hope this helped :)

Answer:

Average cost of the painting = $14.55

Step-by-step explanation:

According to the question:

  • Number of brushes used = 4

       Total cost of brushes = (4\times 0.75) =\$3

Note:Total cost of any item = Product of number of items with                   its unit price.

  • Number of canvases = 3

       Total cost of canvases = (3\times 5.99)=\$17.97

  • Number of tubes used = 12

       Total cost of tubes = (12\times 1.89)=\$22.68

  • Number of paintings = 3

We have to find the average cost of painting.

Let the average cost be 'x' .

So,

⇒ x=\frac{Total\ expenditure}{Number\ of\ paintings}

⇒ x=\frac{3+17.97+22.68}{3}

⇒ x=\$14.55

Average cost of the painting = $14.55
