How did the Sedition Act have been in conflict with the rights of Americans
anzhelika [568]

The Sedition Act was opposed by minority Republicans, based on the argument that it violated First Amendment rights of Americans. It was based on the very same laws that England had, where it was illegal to criticize the king. The Sedition Act basically outlawed "conspiracies that oppose any measure of the government.", then later outlawed "false, malicious, scandalous writings of the government.".

Outline the attributes of the legislative branch which make it unique to the other two branches of government.
atroni [7]

Answer: When taking things into consideration, the Legislative branch is the most powerful; with its ability to create laws, borrow money, collect taxes, regulate commerce, and most importantly develop a social contract with its citizens in return of ensuring safety and maintaining order.

Within the legislative branch, each house of Congress serves as a check on possible abuses of power by the other. Once Congress has passed a bill, the president has the power to veto that bill. In turn, Congress can override a regular presidential veto by a two-thirds vote of both houses.

Elected officials often hold
kipiarov [429]
Only 45% of graduated high school students have a fair amount of trust in the media.
We should have the freedom to criticize the government. An essential concept in the history of freedom of the press and freedom of speech, predating the First Amendment, has been much debated: the freedom to criticize the government.

The Court sets a very high bar for public officials, extended to public figures, and to be able to recover damages from the news media for false and libelous statements. This puts an immense amount of stress on these individuals.

I personally think that there should be regulation on the amount elected officials subject themselves to press conferences.

How does use of force help a dictator get what he wants?
valentinak56 [21]
dictators, such as Saudi king and Qatar prince want to destroy Libya. They hire some international terrorists and rent the US army from Obama to provide them air support. While the US air force bombs Libyan army and police, terrorists are raping, abducting and killing wives and children of Libyan politicians, police and army officers until organized resistance is broken. The same tactics was used in Syria.
