The stars don't have the same coloration. This can even be noticed with naked eye, and much better when using a telescope. The coloration of the starts varies a lot, and the spectrum is very large.

In general though, the starts can be divided into four major groups in accordance to their color:

- blue

- white

- yellow

- red

The coloration of the starts can indicate two things, their age and their temperature.

The blue starts are the youngest ones and they also have the highest temperatures, around 20,000 C degrees.

The white starts are young stars, having temperatures of around 10,000 C degrees.

The yellow stars are middle aged stars, having temperatures of around 5,000 Celsius degrees.

The red stars are the oldest stars, having the lowest temperatures of around 2,000 Celsius degrees.
