Any odd integer can be expressed as 2n+1, for some integer n.

The next odd integer, after 2n+1, is 2n+1+2=2n+3

thus 9x=2n+1, means that 9x-1=2n,   so n=(9x-1)/2

the next odd number after 2n+1 is 2n+3= 2* (9x-1)/2+3=9x-1+3=9x+2

Remark : this result could also have been found directly.

Answer: 9x+2

D. y = 3x + 2

Check (-4, -10)
-10 = 3(-4) + 2
-10 = -12 + 2
-10 = -10 :)

Check (-3, -7)
-7 = 3(-3) + 2
-7 = -9 + 2
-7 = -7 :)

Check (-2, -4)
-4 = 3(-2) + 2
-4 = -6 + 2
-4 = -4 :)

Check (-1, -1)
-1 = 3(-1) + 2
-1 = -3 + 2
-1 = -1 :)

Check (0, 2)
2 = 3(0) + 2
2 = 0 + 2
2 = 2 :)

Lily has a bag of 140 marbles the bag has an equal number of green and blue marbles and an equal number of red and yellow marble
Allisa [31]

If there are equal amounts of blue and green marbles, then there are 56 of each; so 112 altogether.  That leaves 28 red and yellow marbles; therefore 14 red marbles.
