If xw is equal to wz then you can set up an equation using (g) as the lengths xw and wz

1g +1g+ 15 = 50
this is the perimeter equation
this simplifies to
2g +15=50
then you simplifiy using algebra
2g=50-15
2g=35
g=17.5

Can you please award me BRAINLIEST if my answer is satisfactory!
Thanks!

A retired couple invested $8000 in bonds. At the end of one year, they received an interest payment of $504. What was the simple
spin [16.1K]
Hi there! In order to find the simple interest rate of the bonds, we have to divide the received payment by the bonds invested in them. 504/8,000 is 0.063. This number is in decimal form, but let's multiply by 100 to get the percentage of the number. 0.063 * 100 is 6.3. There. The simple interest rate of the bonds is 6.3%.

Find the missing endpoint if S is the midpoint RT
Stolb23 [73]

Answer:

 10. T(-20, 9)

 11. R(-1, -9)

 12. D(-6, 5)

Step-by-step explanation:

The relationship between end points and the midpoint can be solved generically for one of the end points. That relation can be used for the different points in these problems.

__

generic solution

The coordinates of midpoint M is related to the coordinates of end points A and B by ...

 M = (A +B)/2

This can be solved for end point B, given end point A and midpoint M:

 2M = A +B

 2M -A = B

Then the generic equation for end point B given end point A and midpoint M is ...

 B = 2M -A

__

In each of the numbered problems, the midpoint and one end point are given. These can be matched with the variables in the above formula, so the solution is simply a matter of arithmetic. Beware all the minus signs.

10.

 T = 2R -S

 T = 2(-9, 4) -(2, -1) = (2(-9) -2, 2(4) +1)

 T = (-20, 9)

__

11.

 R = 2S -T

 R = 2(-4, -6) -(-7, -3) = (2(-4) +7, 2(-6) +3)

 R = (-1, -9)

__

12.

 B = (A +C)/2 = ((-9, -4) +(-1, 6))/2 = (-9 -1, -4 +6)/2 = (-10, 2)/2

 B = (-5, 1) . . . . the missing midpoint of AC

 D = 2B -E . . . . the missing end point of BD

 D = 2(-5, 1) -(-4, -3) = (2(-5) +4, 2(1) +3)) = (-10 +4, 2 +3)

 D = (-6, 5)

Use the distance formula to determine the distance between (-8,10) and (-6,7)
hjlf

Answer:

Distance: \sqrt{13} units

Step-by-step explanation:

The distance formula is d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2} where:

 • d is the distance between points (x_1,y_1) and (x_2,y_2)
 • (x_1,y_1) are the coordinates of the first point
 • (x_2,y_2) are the coordinates of the second point

We are given that:

 • (x_1,y_1)=(-8,10)
 • (x_2,y_2)=(-6,7)

To determine the value of our distance, d, we plug in our given information into the formula and solve for

d=\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

d=\sqrt{(-6-(-8))^2+(7-10)^2}

d=\sqrt{(-6+8)^2+(-3)^2}

d=\sqrt{(2)^2+(-3)^2}

d=\sqrt{4+9}

d=\sqrt{13}

Therefore, the distance between (-8,10) and (-6,7) is \sqrt{13} units.

That is in standard form except the -7 would be written as a power next to the 10. As an ordinary number it is 0.000000475
