Answer:

-degrades vegetation

-increases soil erosion

-creates competition for water

Explanation:

There are many environmental impacts caused by mining, economic and industrial activity that consists in the research, exploration, extraction and processing of ores present in underground deposits. The same is true of mining for materials used in smart devices. This human activity destroys nature and creates very damaging ecological imbalances that diminishes the quality of life not only for humans but for all living beings.

Mining causes pollution of water resources by decreasing the amount of drinking water and increasing competition for water in some places. In addition, it causes soil degradation through erosion and causes loss of diversity by degrading vegetation and animal life.

its obviously not child labor or economy based because those have nothing to do with the environment so its the other three.

Using no more than 14 propositions, list the functions, structure, and distribution of the lymphatic vessels and describe the me
sveticcg [70]

The lymphatic vessels are thin-walled valvular structures, composed of lymphangions, which carry the lymph from the tissues, via the lymph nodes, to the bloodstream. For this reason, they are analogous to veins and venules.

The lymphatic network is present throughout the body with the exception of the central nervous system and non-vascularized tissues.

It is separated in two circuits: one for the upper right quarter of the body, and one for the rest.

The lymphatic channels join together to form lymphatic vessels more and more voluminous.

Finally, The lymph is drained by two large collectors:

* The right lymphatic canal

* The thoracic duct.

All lymphatics thus end up in the upper vena cava system by two separate circuits.

A) How does HIV bind to a host cell?
Taya2010 [7]

1. The correct answer is: The viral envelope proteins interact with CD4 and a co-receptor on the cell membrane.

Binding and entering the host cell are the first steps of the HIV virus infection. So, these steps play a major role in determining the ability of HIV to degrade the human immune system. Binding of HIV to CD4+ T lymphocytes (express chemokine receptors CCR5 and CXCR4 called co-receptors) triggers the fusion of the viral and host cell membranes, initiating infection (viral core gets into the cytoplasm).

Attachment of the virion can be:

• Nonspecific-envelop protein of the virus (Env) binds to cell-surface heparan sulfate proteoglycans

• Specific-Env binds to integrin.

2. The correct answer is: Activation of the host cell by cytokines, growth factors, or antigens.

After the viral capsid enters the cell, single-stranded RNA genome is released from the attached viral proteins and copied it into a complementary DNA (cDNA) molecule thanks to an enzyme called reverse transcriptase. Next step is the integration of the viral DNA into the host cell's genome. This process is done by another viral enzyme called integrase. The integrated DNA  is transcribed into RNA and then translated into proteins that will help the package of new viruse particles.

3. The answer is: false

Reverse transcriptase is an enzyme that catalyzes the formation of DNA from an RNA template. Since the genome of the virus (HIV) is single stranded RNA, reverse transcriptase copies it into a complementary DNA (cDNA) molecule. Thanks to this enzyme, formed cDNA can be integrated into host’s genome. Because of this proprety, antiretroviral drugs used to treat HIV infection work as reverse-transcriptase inhibitors.
