Add rm and ms together to get rs

rs = 3x + 1 + 4x - 2

rs = 7x - 1

rs = 7x - 1 is your answer

hope this helps

      3x + 1                  4x - 2
|----------------------------|----------------------------|
r                             m                            s

since "m" is the midpoint, thus "m" cuts "rs" in two equal halves, therefore, rm = ms, and thus 3x + 1 = 4x - 2, and surely you'd know what "x" is then.

so rs is just (3x+1) + (4x-2), or just the halves added up.

What is the mean absolute deviation of her math scores?
5.4
6.4
7.8.
o
8.8
lara [203]

Answer:

The mean absolute deviation (MAD) of her Math scores would be 1.2.

Step-by-step explanation:

Mean: 5.4 + 6.4 + 7.8 + 8.8 = 28.4/4 = 7.1

7.1 - 5.4 = 1.7

7.1 - 6.4 = 0.7

7.1 - 7.8 = 0.7

7.1 - 8.8 = 1.7

Mean Absolute Deviation: 1.7 + 0.7 + 0.7 + 1.7 = 4.8/4 = 1.2

hope this helps :)
