They basically got pushed outside their land. They were involved in the Indian wars during that time. During 1860 - 1890 many people set their eyes on the Gold reserves that located in Native's owned land.Because of this, American government tried to expand their territories and started conquering these lands despites the resistance that made by many indian tribes.
