Personally, I would start to ration food and water, I would also start collecting any food or liquid items I can find. For water I would wait for it to rain, and start collecting rain water, and for food, I would start scrounging for any type of food.

I would also, eat any pet I have, and store the meat, If I lived near a lake, I would start fishing and collecting water ASAP.
