Outline The Function Of Lyphatic System.

The lymphatic system has many functions in the human body. Here are the two main ones.

1.) the fat tissue in the body is transported through lymph tissue, part of the lymphatic system.

2.)the lymphatic system also has a significant role in the human defense system. After a pathogen (a disease causing substance eg. Bacteria) has bypassed the general defence system, its up to the lymphatic system to fight these infections.

It does this through the production of antibodies against these pathogens. Cells are produced to produce and antibodies, namely, b and t cells. Examples of these cells include; killer t cells(what it says on the tin.) memory b AND t cells memorise the pathogen so it does not infect you again(induced immunity). Suppressor t cells stop killer cells from destroying normal healthy human cells. These particular cells have a significant role immunity.

Not 100% sure but I think the lymphatic system has a role in the production of phagocytes and monocytes which engulf the bacteria(as opposed to using chemicals to destroy them). Ps. Antibodies recognise pathogens through specific antigens on these harmful cells.

Finally, I believe the lymphatic system can be linked with white blood cells in the production of additional immunity proteins but you may have to do your own research on that!

Shana is a competitive athlete who weighs 135 lb. she would like to plan a nutritionally adequate diet that provides enough carb
prisoha [69]
The correct answer is d.

Carbohydrates are a very important part of an athlete's diet, since they provide the necessary energy for competition and endurance, but also help in the process of muscle gain.

The amount of carbohydrates that Shana should consume depend heavily on the intensity of her exercise activities. For a moderate level of exercise, which equals to 1 hour of exercise daily, a person should consume 5-7 g/kg of body weight. For a high level of exercise (1-3 hours of daily exercise), a person should consume 6-10 g/kg.

Guessing that Shana will perform a high level of exercise and based on her weight (135 lb or 61.2 kg), Shana should consume 366 to 610 g of carbohydrates daily.

What types of organisms typically make up the base, middle and top of a food web
777dan777 [17]

A food web refers to the graphical or pictorial representation of the food consumption interconnections among living organisms in a particular ecosystem. The food web usually have a base, a middle section and a top section. The base of the food web is made up of plants, which are called the producers. Plants are able to make their own food and others in the web depend on them for food. The middle section is made up of primary consumers, which are those organisms that feed directly on plants while the top section is made up of secondary consumers, which are those that feed on primary consumers.
