Coin       Value

cent              1 cent
nickel           5 cents
dime           10 cents
quarter        25 cents
dollar        100 cents

This is a function, because you can state unambiguosly the value of each coin.

The domain is the set of input values: { cent, nickel, dime, quarter, dollar}

The range is the set of output values: {1, 5, 10, 25, 100}

lisov135 [29]

Writing this situation out in terms of operating with integers and indicating Fredy's position at the moment is as follows:

Fredy's position in the well = 13 feet in depth or 5 feet from the bottom.

What is an integer?

An integer is a whole number, both positive and negative.

Data and Calculations:

Depth of well = 18 feet

Height climbed the first day = 7 feet

Height climbed the second day = 4 feet

Height of climb up the well = 11 feet

Depth of slid on the first day = 2 feet

Depth of slid on the second day = 4 feet

Total slid down the well = 6 feet (2 + 4)

The position of Fredy the Frog is at 13 feet (18 - 11 + 6) depth

Thus, based on integer operations, we can conclude that Fredy the Frog has only climbed 5 feet (18 - 13) from the well's depth.

scoray [572]
Hi there,

There are 3 variables: transmissions, kind of door, and color.

Each variable could be independently chosen against the others. This means that we can apply product rule.

The answer is: 2 * 2 * 4 = 16 possible cars.

$0.50.
There are a total of 200 tiles (5 x 40)
since John paid $100 for the 200 tiles,
We have to do $100 divided by 200.
Which is .5
So $.50
