To reduce down a fraction you can try to find factors that go in both the numerator (top # of fraction) and denominator (bottom #)

So, for 6/9, 3 goes in both of them. When you divide each number by 3 you get:

2/3

Hi there!

I can't post a drawing for this, but I will try to explain using my own words on what 6/9 is in it's simplest form.

The number three can go into 6 and 9. Three goes into 6 twice, and it goes into 9 three times.

So our simplified answer is 2/3.
In decimal form this is 0.66666667 (repeating decimal but rounded off to 0.6667)

Hope this helps!

Truck -Rite Rentals rents trucks at daily rate of $49.95 plus 39 cents per mile. concert Productions has budgeted $100 for renti
Sergio039 [100]
$100 - $49.95 = $50.05
You have $100, and just renting costs $49.95, leaving $50.05 left.
$50.05 / $0.39 = 128.3

Out of your money left ($50.05) you divide my how much it costs in a day, to get how many miles you can go.

The answer is 128.3, but if you were going a round trip (there and back) you would do 128.3 / 2 = 64.16, meaning you can go 64 miles and come back, all for a hundred dollars (still 128 miles in total though)

An element with mass 490 grams decays by 28.6% per minute. How much of the element is remaining after 16 minutes, to the nearest
agasfer [191]

Answer:

2.2 grams

Step-by-step explanation:

We can use the compound decay formula shown below to solve this:

F=P(1-r)^t

Where

F is the final amount (what we want to find)

P is the present amount (490 grams)

r is the rate of decay, in decimal (28.6% = 28.6/100 = 0.286)

t is the time in minutes (16)

Substituting, we get:

F=P(1-r)^t\\F=490(1-0.286)^{16}\\F=490(0.714)^{16}\\F=2.2355

So, after 16 minutes, 2.2355 grams will be remaining.

<em>Rounded to nearest tenth of a gram (1 decimal place) = </em><em>2.2 grams remaining</em>
