Answer:

B) moves in a circular motion to form a vacuum in its center.

Explanation:

What is a vortex shape? A vortex is like a hurricane shape. Do you know what black holes are? A black hole is a vortex. Basically what it does is, it sucks everything within its reach into its center. Fun fact: once you go into a black hole, you never come out. No one knows why.

A vortex is kind of like a cone shape. In this case, the batter was circling and circling (like a black hole), until it was rotated down the funnel (the center, like a black hole's center), and into the hot oil.

I hope this helps! :D

Answer:

a singing crickets

Explanation:

gerund is the noun form of a verb that ends in -ing. For example, playing, dancing, eating. Right away this is confusing for students, as they are used to seeing that form as the continuous/progressive form of the verb (“she is eating”, “they were dancing”).
