4/5-3/7. First they need the same denominater: 4/5(7)=28/35, 3/7(5)=15/35. 28/35-15/35. Now subtract numerators: 28-15=13. So your answer H. 13/35 :)

Since you can't subtract fractions with different denominators, you have to change it to 35 because that is their common denominator. 4/5 would be changed to 28/35 and 3/7 would be changed to 15/35. (If u r still confused on how u get o that let me know and I can explain). Next u just subtract the fractions and the answer is 13/35 yards (H)

Is y = 1/x linear or non linear
Fofino [41]

Answer: This answer is non-linear.

Step-by-step explanation:

The problem y=\frac{1}{x}  has Vertical Asymptotes,

Horizontal Asymptotes,

and No Oblique Asymptotes making, y=0  and x=0.

A linear function is a form of y=mx+b.

This answer would be <u>non-linear</u>

A 2003 survey showed that 14 out of 250 Americans surveyed had suffered some kind of identity theft in the past 12 months. What
ivann1987 [24]

Answer:

The lower confidence limit of the 95% confidence interval for the population proportion of Americans who were victims of identity theft is 0.0275.

Step-by-step explanation:

In a sample with a number n of people surveyed with a probability of a success of \pi, and a confidence level of 1-\alpha, we have the following confidence interval of proportions.

\pi \pm z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}}

In which

z is the z-score that has a p-value of 1 - \frac{\alpha}{2}.

A 2003 survey showed that 14 out of 250 Americans surveyed had suffered some kind of identity theft in the past 12 months.

This means that n = 250, \pi = \frac{14}{250} = 0.056

95% confidence level

So \alpha = 0.05, z is the value of Z that has a p-value of 1 - \frac{0.05}{2} = 0.975, so Z = 1.96.

The lower limit of this interval is:

\pi - z\sqrt{\frac{\pi(1-\pi)}{n}} = 0.056 - 1.96\sqrt{\frac{0.056*0.944}{250}} = 0.0275

The lower confidence limit of the 95% confidence interval for the population proportion of Americans who were victims of identity theft is 0.0275.
