I mostly wanted a leader that felt confident enough to let me work. I like independent because I hate micro-management. When I work independently and prove I can do it, that gives the Boss time to go micro-manage someone else.

So you know why I hate micro-management is that you are being treated as incompetent. When I was micro-managed, my work SLOWED down. I would constantly check with boss to see if I was doing it right. Throw in some wrong ways, to make Boss feel in charge. It's demeaning.
