Height of cylinder is h=3.184in .

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

Here we have , A cylinder has a lateral surface area of about 80 square inches. We need to find What is the height of the cylinder if the radius is 4 inches . Let's find out:

We know that  lateral surface area of cylinder = 2\pi rh , Dimensions are as

(Lateral)area = 80in^2\\radius =r=4in\\height= ?

Putting value of these in 2\pi rh we get:

⇒ 2\pi rh=80

⇒ \frac{2\pi rh}{2\pi r}=\frac{80}{2\pi r}

⇒ h=\frac{80}{2\pi r}

⇒ h=\frac{80}{2(3.14)( 4)}

⇒ h=\frac{80}{25.12}

⇒ h=3.184in

Therefore , Height of cylinder is h=3.184in .

prohojiy [21]

d₁ = -16t² + 122t

d₂ = -16t² + 84t

d = d₁ - d₂

d =  -16t² + 122t  -  (-16t² + 84t)

d = 38t

After five seconds, t=5,

d = 38(5) = 190

Circle A has been enlarged to create circle A'. The table below shows the circumference of both circles.
stich3 [128]

Answer:

Option (2) 1.5

Step-by-step explanation:

Rule for the dilation of an image by a scale factor is,

Scale factor = \frac{\text{Radius of image circle A'}}{\text{Radius of pre-image A}}=\frac{r'}{r}

                    = \frac{(2\pi) r'}{(2\pi) r}

                    = \frac{\text{Circumference of image}}{\text{Circumference of pre-image}}

                    = \frac{10.5}{7}

                    = 1.5

Therefore, scale factor was used to create a circle A' = 1.5

Option (2) will be the correct option.

Y = 2x^2
GarryVolchara [31]

Answer:

y = 2x^2 is a parabola opening up with it's vertex at (0,0)... y=3x^2 -4 is also a parabola opening up, but it is 'thinner' in that it rises in y faster and it's vertex is at (0,-4)

Step-by-step explanation:

all equations of the type y = ax^2 + b are parabolas centered on the y-axis, soo the vertex is always on (0,b)

If a is positive then the parabola opens up,

the bigger a is, the 'thinner' the graph is, i.e. the faster the graph rises

the value of b determines the location of the vertex, if b is added, then the vertex rises over the x-axis, if b is subtracted then the vertex is below the x-axis
