(x-7)(x+7).. this one is super easy, u need 2 numbers that are the same that when multiplied give you -49 but when added and subtracted cancel themselves.. if you multiply -7 times 7 you get -49 and if you add -7+7 they cancel out

Hope this helps

10,483 people attended a rock festival. If there were 811 more boys than girls, and 2,481 fewer adults over 50 years of age than
Maslowich

Given =

total people attented a rock festival =  10483

number of boys more than girls  in the rock festival = 811

fewer adult over 50 year of age = 2481

find out the each group attented the festival

To proof =

let us assume that the number of the girls be x.

let us assume that the number of the boys be y.

let us assume that the number of the adults be z.

thus we have equation

x + y + z = 10483

number of boys (y) = x + 811

number of adults (z) = x - 2481

put these all value inthe equation x + y +z = 10483

we get

x  + x + 811 + x - 2481 =10483

3x -1670 = 10483

3x = 12153

x = 4051

the number of girls are 4051

the number of boys  = 4051+ 811

i.ethe number of boys are 4862

the number of adults = 4051 - 2481

i.e number of adults are 1570.

Hence proved

Textbooks are exempted from PST in Ontario. If the total cost of a book
Andrei [34K]

Answer:

4.24

Step-by-step explanation:

Total price = price of the book + 5% of the price of the book

T = total price   P = price of the book G = GST

T = P + G

and

G = 5% of P = 0.05P

therefore

T = P + 5%P = 1P + 0,05P = 1.05P

P = T/1.05 = 89/1.05 ≅ 84.76 (it is 84.7619047619)

G = 89 - 84.76 = 4.24

Round off 15.8% to the nearest whole percent with work shown
Rudik [331]
15.8% would round to 16%

If the number after the decimal point is 5 or greater you round the 5 up to a 6. If it had been less than a 5 it would have rounded down to 15%.

Help!
vodomira [7]

Answer:

2:18 PM

Step-by-step explanation:

This is the answer because:

1) First, count 3 hours from 10:47 AM. 10:47 - 11:47, 11:47 - 12:47, 12:47 - 1:47. We will end up with 1:47 PM.

2) Next, just add 31 minutes. In order to get 2:00 PM, we have to add 13 minutes, therefore, subtract 13 from 31, this is 18.

3) Finally, add 18 to 2:00, which is just 2:18 PM.

Hope this helps! :D
