Even if you have not taken a virtual field trip about the Great Depression, it is likely that you will know what to answer to this question. There are several problems that existed during the Great Depression that are well-documented. Moreover, they are relatable as they are similar to problems that society has nowadays.

For example, three problems of the Great Depression were destructive capitalism, unemployment and Prohibition. If you were to witness these in person, you would most likely see people in long lines waiting to get free meals. You might also see widespread poverty, and huge inequality.

You might also encounter economic and political programs that were meant to reduce these problems. For example, you might encounter the Nationla Recovery Administration. This program wanted to create fairer practices in various industries. You might also encounter the Twenty-first Amendment to the Constitution, which repealed Prohibition. Finally, you might encounter programs for relief that were part of the New Deal. This provided help to unemployed people. All of these programs most likely had a great impact on the lives of the people of the time, as it allowed them to navigate through the difficult times that they faced.
