Let the angles be x and 90-x(since we are given that the angles are complementary so their sum will be 90)

now acc to question

x-(90-x)= 14

2x= 104
x= 52

and the other angle will be 90-x= 90-52 = 38

Wild Water Adventure Waterslides park charges a rental fee plus $2 per hour to rent inflatable rafts. The total cost to rent a r
irina1246 [14]

Answer:

m = 2, initial value = 4.5 or $4.50

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that renting a raft costs 2 dollars/hr plus some rental fee that we need to find.

We also know that renting a raft for 4 hours will cost $12.50. So we can do this:

$12.50 - (2.00 \frac{dollars}{hrs} × 4 hrs) = $4.50, which is the "b" in the standard equation for y = mx + b

So, our equation is y = 2x + 4.5

The rate of change is the slope, which is the coefficient of the x.

m = 2

Our initial value is when x = 0.

y = 2(0) + 4.5

y = 4.5

Kayla was asked to rewrite the polynomial expression x2-14x+49
stich3 [128]

Answer:

(x-7)(x-7)

Step-by-step explanation:

this is a perfect square

x^2-14x+49

take the square of the first number,

X^2 = x times x

the sign of the second number

-14x= (-)

the square of the last number

49= 7x7

to check your work you foil it out

(x-7)(x-7)

x times x = X^2

x times -7= -7x

-7 times x = -7x

-7times -7= 49

then combine like terms

x^2-7x-7x+49      =    x^2-14x+49
