Why hotdogs aren’t considered sandwiches

History

To qualify as “a sandwich,” a given food product must, structurally, consist of two (2) exterior pieces that are either separate or mostly separate;

Those pieces must be primarily carbohydrate-based—so, made of bread or bread-like products;

The whole assemblage must have a primarily horizontal orientation (so, sitting flush with a plate rather than perpendicular to it); and

The whole assemblage must be fundamentally portable.

So. Under this definition, a burger is a sandwich. So is an ice cream sandwich. So is an Oreo. So is a grilled cheese. But not a hot dog

Why is there an upward slope to the supply curve?
madam [21]

Answer:

A supply curve is usually upward-sloping, reflecting the willingness of producers to sell more of the commodity they produce in a market with higher prices. Any change in non-price factors would cause a shift in the supply curve, whereas changes in the price of the commodity can be traced along a fixed supply curve.

Why did the Tokugawa shogunate close Japan to foreign influence?
otez555 [7]

Prevent the spread of western ideas in particular Christianity.

As Europeans were exploring Asian countries with the goal of creating trade agreements, many areas were experiencing a push of western culture. To prevent the influence of western culture, the Tokugawa Shogunate refused westerners and made western culture unlawful. Christianity was considered particularly harmful to Japanese culture and hierarchy. The Shogun removed missionaries from the country and made the practice of Christianity illegal. The samurai also resented western influence because it promoted the status of merchants and degraded their own position in society.

Identify one human rights issue in the world today. Explain the issue and what you can do to help.
wariber [46]

One human rights issue in the world today is racism. Racism is a problem because people are being discriminated and killed due to the color of their skin. One way I can do to help is accept others despite their personal differences and treat them with respect.

Hope this helps!
