All we have to do in this problem is find out how many times you are multiplying the original ratio by, then multiply the number next to the blank by the amount we are multiplying it by.

For example, question 1 shows us that you multiply 2 by 12 to get 24. That means that you will also have to multiply 3 by 12 to get you answer, which is 36.

The second one we are multiplying by 20, and we end up with the blank being 40. On the third one, we are multiplying by 26, and our answer is 78. For the fourth one, we are multiplying by 32 so our answer is 64.

Find the derivative of the function. y = sin−1(6x + 1)
liraira [26]

If you don't know the derivative of the inverse of sine, you can use implicit differentiation. Apply sine to both sides:

y=\sin^{-1}(6x+1)\implies\sin y=6x+1

(true for <em>y</em> between -π/2 and π/2)

Now take the derivative of both sides and solve for it:

\cos y\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm dx}=6

\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm dx}=6\sec y

\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm dx}=\dfrac6{\cos\left(\sin^{-1}(6x+1)\right)}

\dfrac{\mathrm dy}{\mathrm dx}=\dfrac6{\sqrt{1-(6x+1)^2}}

The sin <ABC means that AC/AB. So we know AB=34. AC/AB=8/17. So the length of AC is 16. cos<ABC means BC/AB. tan<ABC means AC/BC.
