It's true, all points along a parallel line are the same distance from the equator.

Parallels are Lines of Latitude which run in an east and west direction and measure distance north and south of the equator. Imagine it as two people on different sides of the equator, one facing north the other facing south. As the person at the north goes forwards towards the north pole, the person facing the south pole must move forward too. In which case they'll reach the poles nearly at the exact same time.

For 333 years, they were also able to fuse some of their cultures into the country, including the conversion of several Filipinos into Christians. The "spiritual conquest" was actually their first mission in the country and they were triumphant on it because it made the Philippines the only Asian nation with 86% Christians.

Why is groundwater acidic?
madam [21]

Answer:

Groundwater flows from areas with a higher water table surface to areas with a lower water table. This mixture of carbonic acid in water makes most natural surface waters slightly acidic. As slightly acidic water infiltrates the ground to become part of the groundwater system it causes weathering of the rocks.
