The correct answer is Wegener's theory did not explain how the continents could move.

The theory given by Wegener's states that once the continents were once joined together but the continents are separated now. He was not able to tell the name of the force that made the continents apart. He did not have any explanation regarding the fact or the reason behind continental drift. The theory of plate tectonics on the other hand describes that the continents were broken down into slabs which moves as a result of movement of tectonic plates.

Which component of the blood is part of the body’s immune system?
VARVARA [1.3K]
The answer is D, white blood cells.

The main function of white blood cells is to defense the body from bacteria or other pathogens. There's 2 main kinds of white blood cells, lymphocytes and phagocytes. Lymphocytes mainly produce antibodies that can kill bacteria or any pathogens, and phagocytes can ingest the pathogens directly.

Therefore, since the white blood cells can protect our body, they're part of our immune system.
