An analytical essay, or any other type of essay, should be done in formal language and using appropriate grammar. An essay is a formal text, unlike colloquialism which is an informal language and should only be used in specific situations where you are with your friends, family, or people to whom you have an intimate relationship. The use of colloquialism in an essay is always inappropriate, leaves the essay unreliable and establishes an awkward situation.
