If he is 4 now is in 10 years he will be 14 and if you multiply that by 2 you get 28 which means in 10 years Marie will be 28 so that means if you take away 10 the answer should be 18 but that isn't there but that's how I would work it out.

Sean received both the 5th highest and the 5th lowest mark in the class. How many students are there in the class?.
kolezko [41]

If we read the complete exercise, we can understand that the correct answer is 9 students.

This is a math related exercise.

If we take into consideration that Sean is the 5th highest in the class, it means that there are four more people before him.

However, he is also the 5th lowest mark in the class, so it means that there are four more people below him.

If we also count Sean, there are:

  • 9 students in the class.

How do you do <br><br> x√x = √216<br><br> you have to solve for x and it should equal 6
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

x \sqrt{x}  =  \sqrt{216}

square both sides:

{(x \sqrt{x}) }^{2}  =  {( \sqrt{216}) }^{2}

solve the roots:

( {x}^{2} .x) = 216 \\  {x}^{3}  = 216

take a cube root on both sides:

\sqrt[3]{ {x}^{3} }  =  \sqrt[3]{216}

solve the cube root:

x = 6

As the price of gummy bears rises from $2. 60 to $3 , what are the price elasticities of demand of sugar-free gummy bears and of
NISA [10]

The price elasticities of demand of sugar-free gummy bears and of ordinary gummy bears is -0.8 and -2.3 respectively.

<h3>How to calculate price elasticity</h3>

Change in price of gummy bears = $2. 60 to $3

Elasticity of demand of sugar-free gummy bears =

[(273-379 / (273+379)/2] ÷ [(3.00-2.60)/(3.00+2.60) / 2]

= [-18/166] / [0.4/2.8]

= -0.10843373493975 / 0.14285714285714

= - 0.75903614457826

Approximately, -0.8

Elasticity of demand of regular gummy bears:

Sugar free = [(273-379) / (273+379)/2] ÷ (3.00 +2.60) / 2]

= [-106/326] / [0.4/2.8]

= -0.32515337423312 / 0.14285714285714

= -2.2760736196318

Approximately, -2.3
