Inverse: Flipping the fraction of a number. For example the inverse of 2 would be 1/2. So force/1 has to = x/radius^2

Find "x":
 F_{gravity} =  \frac{x}{r^2}
Plug in numbers given:
 F_{gravity} = \frac{x}{r^2}
600= \frac{x}{(4,000)^2}
600=  \frac{x}{16,000,000}
x=9,600,000,000

Find Force using x and the new radius:
 F_{gravity} = \frac{x}{r^2}
 F_{gravity} = \frac{9,600,000,000}{(240,000)^2} = 1/6

The point of a square pyramid is cut off, making each lateral face of the pyramid a trapezoid with the dimensions shown.
omeli [17]

Answer:

The area of one trapezoidal face of the figure is 2 square inches

Step-by-step explanation:

<u><em>The complete question is</em></u>

The point of a square pyramid is cut off, making each lateral face of the pyramid a trapezoid with the dimensions shown. What is the area of one trapezoidal face of the figure?

we know that

The area of a trapezoid is given by the formula

A=\frac{1}{2}(b_1+b_2)h

where

b_1 and b-2 are the parallel sides

h is the height of the trapezoid (perpendicular distance between the parallel sides)

we have

h=1\ in\\b_1=1\ in\\b_2=3\ in

substitute the given values in the formula

A=\frac{1}{2}(1+3)(1)

A=2\ in^2
