You see a slide that forms a right angle from the ground, the length of the slide is 5 feet and its 4 feet high. The ground height is equal to 25-16=9. This become the square root of 9 which is 3.

Hello,

The Pythagorean Theorem has practically infinite applications.

Here is an example:
Bob has to clean the gutter on the roof of his house. To reach the roof, he uses a tilted at an angle against the wall. The distance between the ladder and the wall is 6 feet, and the wall is 8 feet tall. How long is the ladder?

Solution: We can create a "triangle" out of this question. The base of the triangle is 6 feet, the height is 8 feet, so using the Pythagorean Theorem we can solve for the height of the ladder:
6^{2} +  8^{2} =  x^{2}
36 + 64 = x^{2}
x^{2} = 100
x = 10 feet
The height of the ladder is 10 feet.

Hope this helps!

Law Incorporation [45]

Standard form is ax + by = c.

To change y+2 = 3(x-2) into that form, do:

y+2-2 = 3x -6 -2

-3x + y =  -8

Which is not in the list, so none of the answers are right...

Present and contrast at leat 2 different methods of finding the volume of a cylinder with height h and radius r.
Vilka [71]

Answer:

Volume V= πr²h

Volume V= base * height

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume is the capacity of an object which is obtained by multiplying area with height. Volume of a cylinder is generally calculated by two formulas.

Volume of  a cylinder V= πr²h Where r is the radius and h is the height

Volume of a cylinder V= base * height

If we analyse the two formula keeping in mind that  the base of the cylinder is circular . The area of a circle is given by πr². In this first formula we can find the area of the base by applying the formula of the circular region. Volume is measured by multiplying length , breadth and height, or area with height. In both the formulas given above we find the area and then multiply with the height.

VladimirAG [237]
A.450.80

Multiply 40x9.80=392

Take 1/2 of 9.80 that equal 4.90
4.90 plus 9.80 $14.70x4=58.80
$58.80 plus 392 equals 450.80
