The Biblical Canon designates the inventory or list of writings or books considered by Christian religions as having evidence of Divine Inspiration. That is, the Bible is God-breathed writings to convey their "rules" or "norms" of life. With these rules, the Hebrew Bible adopts principally the terms that encompass the contents of the Jewish Tanakh and the Protestant Old Testament, excluding the other books which are adopted by religions such as the Catholic church which adopted principles in their books such as Purgatory, Prayer for dead, Salvation through works, among others.
