McCrae and Costa (1990) think their "Big 5" Five Factor model is THE most complete personality theory. Some theorists would beg

to differ! What theorist would say the Big 5 is thorough but by no means a complete model and describe what the theorist would say is missing?

The big five factors NEO-5 are five dimensions of personality are used to describe human personality. These big five traits are  

  • Openness
  • Conscientiousness
  • Extroversion
  • Agreeableness
  • Neurotic ism

These traits measure in % score. There are several weaknesses revealed as the big five is not a complete model. Some agreed with Jean Piaget. Many scholars indicate that the study has many loopholes and need to be cover all aspects of human growth and development.

Piaget was well known for his theories on the cognitive development of children helping in understand the intellectual abilities of a child. Piaget was the psychologist who argues that Big -5 is not measuring all the aspects of the theory related to personality. Sobinity, honesty, femininity, masculinity these are the aspects that are not measured by big five
