What types of triangles can have an obtuse angle? Scalene Right Acute Isosceles

Mathematics

Scalene = yes it is possible (example: 105 degrees, 5 degrees, 70 degrees)

Right = No, the reason why is because the remaining angles must add to 90 which is less than a right angle. So it's impossible to have one angle over 90 degrees.

Acute = Also no. All three angles are less than 90 degrees

Isosceles = Yes. It is possible. One example would be 120 degrees, 30 degrees, 30 degrees.

How many solution does an equation have when you isolate the variable and it equals a constant
RoseWind [281]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

it depends. if (for example) y=x2 then there are an infinite amount of answers. if there is an equation like: If (variable X)= (variable Y) + 5 and if X=5, what is Y? then there is only one answer. check an algebra book, it can give you a more detailed answer.

2x -3y =2<br><br> x = 6y - 5
never [62]
2(6y - 5) - 3y = 2
12y - 10 - 3y = 2
9y - 10 = 2
9y = 12
y = 4/3, or 1 1/3
2x - 3(4/3) = 2
2x - 12/3 = 2
2x - 4 = 2
2x = 6
x = 3

¿Para cuál(es) valor(es) de p las rectas de ecuación x − 1/p = 2 − y/p y x − 1/1 − p = y − 2/2 son perpendiculares? A) Solo para
Akimi4 [234]

Respuesta:

C) Solo para el -1

Explicación paso a paso:

\frac{x-2}{p}=\frac{2-y}{p}

y

\frac{x-1}{1-p}=\frac{y-2}{2}

\frac{x-2}{p}=\frac{2-y}{p}

Multiplicamos ambos lados para p y obtenemos:

x-1=2-y

volteamos la ecuación y nos da:

2-y=x-1

y=-x+3

y=mx+b

donde m es nuestra pendiente:

m_{1}=-1

m_{2}=-\frac{1}{m_{1}}

m_{2}=-\frac{1}{-1}

m_{2}=1

\frac{x-1}{1-p}=\frac{y-2}{2}

\frac{2x}{1-p}-\frac{2}{1-p}+2=y

volteamos la ecuación y nos da:

y=\frac{2x}{1-p}-\frac{2}{1-p}+2

m=\frac{2}{1-p}

2=1-p

volteamos la ecuación:

1-p=2

pasamos el 1 a restar al lado derecho:

-p=2-1

-p=1

p=-1

Use DeMorgan's laws to write a negation for the statement "the Hulk is green or the Iron Man is red"
erastova [34]

Answer:

"The Hulk is not green AND the Iron Man is not red"

Step-by-step explanation:

DeMorgan's laws state that the negation of an statement whose structure is "p OR q" is "not p AND not q", and similarly, that the negation of an statement whose structure is "p AND q" is "not p OR not q". The statement we want to negate in our case is "The Hulk is green OR the Iron Man is red". This is an statement whose structure is of the type "p OR q", where p would be "The Hulk is green", and q would be "the Iron Man is red". So according to DeMorgan's laws, its negation should be the statement "not p AND not q". To put them in common english, not p would be "The Hulk is NOT green", and not q would be "The Iron Man is NOT red". So the statement "not p AND not q" is simply "The Hulk is not green AND the Iron Man is not red".
