The delegates embraced the electoral college instead of
creating a direct presidential voting process. This system was based on
republican principles so as to mitigate against the shortcomings of a
democracy. The delegates wanted a better system that mitigated against the
pitfalls of a direct democracy.
It was legitamte, we took over Hawaii in 1896 and annexed them offically in 1906, so yes, we did that. Was it proper? Well from our persective, it was, we wanted a trade route with Asia, and Hawaii is conviently half way, along with the Philippines <span />

- 14 officials of other Nazi organizations that engaged in racial persecution.
