Hamlet, Act III Scene I - here are some ideas and two videos to start the comparison.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fO-wxlavDQI
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7EH0FxJVCs

It could be seen that these videos are recorded in different times and by different actors. As regards the 1st one, both are well- known today and it seems that it was done many years ago. the 2nd might show a modern version in a theater not in a setting and with a poorer production.

As in the 1st one the actors are dressed according to the time and props are used to represent Shakespearean years the 2nd presents no props, no scenario just actors without even wearing customs.

The second version might show actors standing and sitting while the 1st one that are always standing.

The 1st video seems to have lost colour maybe because of the pass of time and the 2nd presents bright colours. As regards the camera shots in the 1st video, it could be seen some close-ups and distance shootings while in the second the camera is pretty near the actors.

okay now heres my essay i wrote:

I would say for the videos linked, Gibson Hamlet 3.1 would aim to an older audience. The reason is due to their word choice. They used thy, whom, etc. Those are more older forms, which I think an older audience would be able to understand. Also in Gibson Hamlet 3.1 the video background was more interesting in a way. It had buildings in the back, which gave off a good storyline. I feel like it would be better for an older audience. Now for the second video I linked which was Hamlet Act 3, I think this version would aim for a younger audience. The dialogue is still there using older forms but it is not that much to a point where a younger audience wouldn't understand. Plus the background is more of a calmer backdrop. In conclusion, I think that Gibson Hamlet would do beter with an older audience and Hamlet Act 3 would do best with a younger.

ur welcome !
