Add 4y to both sides of the equation:
x=4y-22
Now replace x in the equation:
(4y-22)-4y=-22
Distribute the negative sign:
-4y+22-4y=-22
Add common terms:
-8y+22=-22
Add 8y to both sides of the equation:
8y-22=22
Add 22 to both sides of the equation:
8y=44
Divide both sides by 8:
y=5.5

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

We group the number 5:

5(x² + 3x + 2.25)

Now inside the brackets we'll take the square root of the coefficient of the x and the square root of the last number, then remove the square from the x and write it as a sum:

5(x+1.5)²

What's the idea behind this?

Well, remember that when you have something in the form:

(a+b)²

It actually means:

a² + 2ab + b²

In our case a was x, and b was 2.25. For bringing it into the shorter form we have to take the square root of a and b.

Sorry if you don't understand. Tell me if you need help to get the xoncept better.

Does anyone know how to solve this?
SVEN [57.7K]

Given :

A right angle triangle ABC .

To Find :

The perimeter of ABC .

Solution :

Since, triangle ABC is right angled and angle ∠ABC is 46° .

So, AC = AB cos 46° = 7.64 units.

Also, CB = AB sin 46° = 7.91 units.

Therefore, the perimeter of ΔABC is :

P = 11 + 7.64 + 7.91 units

P = 26.55 units

Hence, this is the required solution.

Thanks for the help if u can answer!!

if the minute hand of the <u>circular clock</u> is 28 inches, that simply means its radius is 28.

\bf \textit{area of a circle}\\\\A=\pi r^2~~\begin{cases}r=radius\\[-0.5em]\hrulefill\\r=28\end{cases}\implies A=\pi 28^2\implies A=784\pi

so it covers that much in 1 rotation, so in 4 rotations that'd be 4(784π) => 3136π.
